Where do i start for hurdles for track?

Where do i start for hurdles for track?

Im kinda interested into doing the 100 or 300 hurdles in track and was wondering what main focuses i should do. stretches and and workouts. im 6' 1" so i think i shouldnt have a problem getting over them, just need good form. and im decent at them, but the form isnt good|||hey i have been a hurdler for three years not a long time but long enough to know what i am doing.

first you need to know which of you legs is you leading leg. you can figure this out by having a friend stand behind you and with out warning push you foreword. and which ever leg you catch yourself on is your leading leg.

now that you know what your leading leg is try an outside hurdle stretch. In case you don't know what a hurdle stretch is, sit on the ground with one leg (your leading leg) in front of you and the other one bent behind you, then stretch forward towards your toes. this will work on muscle memory.

here is another way to work on muscle memory. run next to the hurdles and each time you reach one put you trailing leg up, bent at the hip and the knee.

know work on jumping the hurdles with a friend or coach watching your form. and have them tell you how you did.

i hope this helped.|||Look at these drills. http://www.ehow.com/video_2366065_hurdle鈥?/a>
