How can I become faster at Hurdling in Track? Im fast I just cant jump over the hurdles as fast as I run?

Track is coming up soon and I just really need some tips on being better. I run fast but cant find a way to use all my speed when I hurdle do to not wanting to fall.|||Hurdling is sprinting over barriers and you must practice your technique daily.

It is easy to make practice hurdles use pvc pipes or wood.

Work on lead and trail leg drills, and walk over drills, you must improve your hip flexibility and create muscle memory so you can run over the hurdle without thinking about what you are doing.

Once you have improved you will not fear the hurdle.

Modern hurdles push over and are not as dangerous as they used to be.

You need someone to watch you so you do things correctly and if you do not have a coach you can buy dvds and video tapes to demonstrate the drills and actions in hurdling.

Look at www.mfathletic.com or www.usatf.org or www.trackandfieldnews.com|||Keep practicing until you have the confidence going over the hurdles, make sure you don't stutter step into it. Practice the hurdle stretch every day (Lead leg straight forward, trailing leg bent, 90 degrees backward) since the more flexible you are, the less you have to jump over the hurdle.|||That happens to everyone in the hurdles, you just need to practice the hurdles as much as possible so you can run over them as fast as possible.|||brown and black shoes
