How can i improve my times for hurdles?

i do hurdles in track during the spring but i want to start practicing now. I need some ways i can practice without any actual hurdles? i dont really have anything i can use thats the same length and skinnyness of a hurdle so what should i do?|||I think your best bet right now is to work on your overall fitness and stamina. Once organized track practices start, you'll get time to work on your steps and jumping the hurdles.|||Food for thought:
