How do I get my dog to jump hurdles?

I want to teach my dog to do flyball but when I set out hurdles she goes around them. I have her on her leash and jump over them myself but she goes around every time. Any suggestions?|||Try them at a low, low, height to start, maybe only 1/4 inch off the ground. Then you get on one side and her on the other, offer her a treat and make her jump over the hurdle. Do this a few times, and then run with her and jump the hurdle with her, if she goes over, immediately give her a treat and praise. Gradually raise the hurdle and repeat the procedure. She will eventually jump over them without the treat reward. She has to learn how to do this.|||firecrackers|||try putting treats on top of the hurdles! Or you could block off ALL other areas around the hurdles so she does not have any other choice. You should Always reward her with treats when she does a good job!|||start with small ones, try to set them up so that she cant go around them, maybe get her to chase something, like food, and move it up over the hurdle|||My small dog jumps 4 feet on average

Get treats

start smalll

Get highter when he gets better|||The only way for her to jump over hurdles is just keep on doing what you are doing and if she succeeds in jumping over one then give her a reward like a biscuit and another way you can do it, is to have some else there to help you have that person like a friend ( someone she know very well ) take the leash and have her go through the course you on the other hand will call your dog to come to you and if she goes around the hurdle have your friend pull on the leash ( but to hard) and start over again until she makes her first jump.

And in no time she will be jumping over the hurdles all by herself oh yeah some one in yahoo answers will probably tell you "why don't you hire a trainer" if you got that kind of money|||You have to start by having your dog walk over them and make them ridiculously low.....then raise 1 level at a time...my dog did Agility which was fun and an excellent training time...Look for a flyball school .....
