Will tripple jumping track spikes work for running hurdles too?

My children-girl 14yrs and boy 16yrs-are very good at triple jump and both also run the hurdles. One is healing from a stress fracture in the foot and the other from a knee injury. They both need the best shoes for the upcomming track season. They both should qualify for the state track meet. What kind of track spikes should I get them?|||Get spikes that will work for both (sprinting spikes). Go to a running-specific store, i.e. Fleet Feet.

http://www.fleetfeetsports.com/|||This article here relates mostly to middle and long distance running spikes, but some of the information applies.

I agree, a good middle distance spike may cover you.

http://runningfat.com/running-shoes/runn鈥?/a>|||well get your 14 year old a regular sprinting spike

you sixteen year old should probably have both a sprint spike and a jump spike if he is really serious

triple jump spikes also add extra support so if you are worried about them the TJ shoes should provide extra cushion

i got both sprint shoes and jump shoes when i was about 15|||If you don't want to get special shoes for different events just get a good middle distance shoe, it will work for both jumps and hurdles.
