What is a good way to train for hurdles?

Im planning on joining track my sophomore year in high school and i want to do hurdles, but i need to train before i start to make my self better at jumping, how should i train for that?|||try using a jumprope and climbing hills to strengthen your muscles and speed.|||Im an eight grader at Slidell Jr. High i have been doing track since 7th grade.. i was very scared last year trying it for the first time in meets.. Our school bought 2 hurdles,because they are expensive and i just sit the in front of each other ,jumped them ,then ran back to the beginning it works
